The Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH Competizione is a Hypercar prototype developed by Isotta Fraschini and Michelotto for the Le Mans Hypercar class of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH Competizione follows in the footsteps of the Glickenhuas and Vanwall cars that proceeded it – taking the fight to the establishment.
Its inclusion in Le Mans Ultimate is the first of its kind and is the only sim where you can race as this plucky independent race team. Thanks to Le Mans Ultimate, the legacy of the Tipo 6 will live on even if it’s not competing in the real world anymore.

The fresh-face team came into the 2024 World Endurance Championship as the most budget-limited team on the grid, which meant their backs were always against the wall trying to compete at the highest level of motorsport and even though they were full of enthusiasm and hope, unfortunately, it showed.
Studio 397 and Le Mans Ultimate want to celebrate such a team and pay tribute to those independent manufacturers who just love to go racing and that’s why this car comes to life once again in this game.
The World Endurance Championship
Officially debuting at round 1 in Qatar with a one-car entry sporting the number 11, the team struggled and ultimately retired. In round 2 at Imola, they finished last of the HY runners, 14 laps down in 17th and at round 3 at Spa they were the last of the finishers again in 15th, 3 laps down on the leaders. The car powered by an HWA-tuned 3.0 litre 90-degree V6 single turbocharged engine, which featured a front axle-mounted electric engine was clearly down on pace.
At Le Mans, the car ran a clean race and managed to finish, though it was down on pace as had been the story all year, finishing 7 laps down on the next-best-placed Hypercar. Thanks to its reliability, however, only encountering a few issues, it beat both BMWs and Alpines, due to the latter’s mechanical issues and accidents, which left the Isotta Fraschini in 14th.
In São Paulo, the car retired once more and this would be the last time the Isotta Fraschini team would be seen on the World Endurance Championship grid in 2024 as before the Lone Star event at COTA the team announced it was pulling out of the championship.
